Weddings, Retreats & Private Events at Silver Sands Motel in Greenport, Long Island’s North Fork
Events & Celebrations
The Perfect Place
Whether it’s a barefoot wedding, a long table dinner that stretches into the night, or a weekend of music, swims, and shared meals, Silver Sands holds space for both respite and revelry. What we offer isn’t a blank slate. It’s a place with history, rhythm, and soul.

Weddings & Celebrations
For your wedding weekend, Silver Sands is entirely yours. Set across 45 acres on Pipes Cove, our historic North Fork retreat brings your guests together in 33 rooms, beach shacks, bungalows, and beach houses, with a private beach, distinctive restaurants, and gardens that lead down to the water.
Silver Sands is a 2024 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award winner and was named among the Best Venues in the 2025/2026 Loverly Awards. Our gardens and grounds also received the 2025 Hospitality Design Award for Landscape + Outdoor Spaces, recognizing a landscape that feels inseparable from the shoreline.
Welcome your guests with cocktails in the Courtyard and dinner beneath the century-old oak at Eddie’s. On the morning of your wedding, the Salt Marsh Wellness Sanctuary becomes a private place to prepare with your closest friends, with champagne, breakfast, and views across the tidal wetlands. Exchange vows overlooking Peconic Bay, then gather for dinner and dancing by the water.
Executive Chef Finn O’Hara and our culinary team create wedding menus inspired by Eddie’s: coconut ceviche with ginger and finger lime, Montauk tuna crudo, and fish over fire with Marcona almonds and herb salmoriglio. Each menu is tailored to your celebration and the season. Later, take the party to the Boathouse or gather at Nookies for smash burgers and boozy milkshakes. Morning brings everyone back together over coffee, warm biscuits, and stories from the night before.
Weddings at Silver Sands are offered exclusively as full-property buyouts, with celebrations of up to 120 guests and only two buyouts available each year. From the welcome reception to the farewell brunch, you have the time and privacy to make a whole weekend of being together.
Meetings & Retreats
Silver Sands has been bringing people to the shores of Pipes Cove since 1957. Across 45 acres of beach, gardens, and protected marshland, there’s room to gather your team, give an idea your full attention, and spend a few days enjoying the North Fork together.
The Boathouse, our restored century-old waterfront building, hosts working sessions overlooking the cove, with a deck for conversations between meetings. Smaller groups can gather at Nookies for a chef’s counter dinner or, in warmer months, share oysters and wood-fired pizzas beneath the old oak at Eddie’s. Menus follow the season and our relationships with local farmers, fishers, and growers.
Those relationships open doors beyond the property, too. Walk the fields with Peter Treiber Jr. to see what’s growing for our kitchens. Taste McCall wines in a restored 1787 barn closed to the public. Fish with a local captain, then bring your catch back for our chefs to prepare 2 ways. Back at Silver Sands, our head mixologist brings the North Fork from field to glass in a hands-on workshop, where you’ll craft two seasonal cocktails using fresh local ingredients and house infusions.
At the Salt Marsh Wellness Sanctuary, private yoga, breathwork, and hydrotherapy invite a quieter kind of gathering. A walk with our naturalist reveals another side of the landscape, from nesting ospreys to the small movements along the shoreline that are easy to miss.
Whether you’re planning a company retreat, a workshop, or a celebration, we’ll help shape the stay around your group, from rooms and meals to excursions. And we’ll leave room for a swim, a game of backgammon, or an afternoon with very little on the agenda.
