Waterfront Restaurants in Greenport, NY on the North Fork
DINING AT SILVER SANDS
PLEASURES SHARED
The Food and Beverage program at Silver Sands is led by Executive Chef Finn O’Hara, formerly of Michelin-starred The Four Horsemen in Brooklyn. His approach to cuisine mirrors the property’s ethos: thoughtful, intentional, and deeply connected to its surroundings, delivering culinary experiences that feel both elevated and effortless.
At Silver Sands, our culinary inspiration is deeply rooted in the 69-year history of our 45-acre property on the Peconic Bay. We take pride in sourcing the finest ingredients, from our own Pipes Cove Oysters, cultivated on our 15-acre oyster farm, to the bountiful fields and farms of the North Fork. Each dish we create is a celebration of this beautiful region, where land meets sea, and is crafted with a coastal sensibility that is seasonal, whimsical, and, most importantly, delicious.

NOOKIES
Set inside Silver Sands’ restored 1950s diner, Nookies is a Greenport favorite for scratch-made breakfast and lunch before transforming into an intimate, chef-driven restaurant at night.
In 2024, Condé Nast Traveler named Nookies one of the Best New Hotel Restaurants in the World. By day, the menu centers on scratch-made favorites, including pillowy handmade biscuits, crispy hash browns and house-smoked sustainable fish. As evening falls, the lights dim and the diner takes on a different energy. The seasonally evolving dinner menu draws from local North Fork farms and waters while retaining the warmth and unfussy spirit of its classic diner roots.
Breakfast & Lunch: Daily, 8am–3pm (last seating)
Dinner: Tuesday–Saturday, 5pm–8:30pm (last seating)
Breakfast and lunch are walk-in only. Dinner reservations are available on Resy.
THE BOATHOUSE
The Boathouse is our love letter to the working waterfront. Housed in a restored century-old structure on Pipes Cove, it carries the soul of Greenport’s maritime past into the present. Once a true boathouse, it now gathers community around food, drink, and story. The menu celebrates land and sea, from local oysters to North Fork fields and farms – playful, soulful dishes like smoked oyster fritters, mussel chowder with truffle, smoked bluefish rolls, and even a whimsical warm rice crispy for dessert. Quirky, coastal, and unmistakably Silver Sands, the Boathouse is part sailor’s bar, part neighborhood clubhouse, where unfussy cocktails, Narragansetts, cult films, and board games meet easy camaraderie by the water.
Thursday, Friday & Monday: Dinner only, 4pm–10pm
Saturday & Sunday: Lunch & Dinner: 12pm-10pm

EDDIE'S
Set directly on Peconic Bay, Eddie’s is Silver Sands’ seasonal open-air waterfront restaurant, made for long lunches, golden-hour dinners and evenings under a century-old oak tree. Named after one of Silver Sands’ beloved former owners, a passionate oyster farmer, the restaurant nods to a Mediterranean repertoire while embracing the unfussy spirit of the North Fork. The menu features wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, masterful seafood creations and hyper-local oysters, including Pipes Cove Oysters grown just offshore on Silver Sands’ own 15-acre oyster farm – all complemented by a well-curated selection of wine and cocktails.
Simple, refined seaside dining at its best, Eddie’s is sun-drenched by day and bathed in a warm glow as evening falls. Relax on our bocce courts or simply let the day drift away in a waterfront sanctuary where the gentle Peconic Bay breeze melts away all cares.
Closed for the season. See you in May 2027!
